Volunteer Opportunities

There are many different ways to become involved in the Alumni Recruitment Committee (ARC). ARC members assist the Office of Admission in recruiting undergraduate students across the country and internationally by:

Attending Local College Fairs

Each year the Office of Admission is invited to attend hundreds of college fairs throughout the country. Our Admission Officers are unable to represent Richmond at all of these events, so we rely on our alumni volunteers to assist us.

Conducting Alumni Informational Interviews

The University of Richmond offers alumni informational interviews to prospective students in 28 regions throughout the country. These interviews take the form of a casual conversation and are not required nor are they evaluative. They do, however, allow for a personalized discussion about the student's interests and how Richmond might support those interests.

Assisting with Office of Admission Events

The Office of Admission offers frequent on campus events for prospective students. Most of these open houses include admission and financial aid information sessions, campus tours, class visits, keynote speakers, and lunch at the dining hall. We always welcome our volunteers in the Richmond area to assist us at these events. In addition to on-campus events, Richmond also hosts a number of events throughout the country to meet prospective families and guidance counselors. You may be invited to participate in these events in a variety of ways.
