On working in admission at Richmond: I always said that I never wanted to graduate. And I also wanted to live in Virginia. I knew that work in college admissions is a great way to start a career and never leave the campus atmosphere. So I jumped at the chance to work at Richmond.

Favorite Richmond neighborhood: The Fan district has a great mix of both old and new. I love all the shops, art galleries, restaurants, and nightlife that are within walking distance of its historic homes and monuments. No matter what one does for fun, the Fan has it all. It really is an awesome place to live.

A question you get all the time: How did Richmond's mascot become the Spider?
