A memorable recruitment story: When I arrived at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, the immigration officer looked at my passport and then me; again he looked at my passport and then me. I was wondering what was wrong when he motioned for a uniformed officer to come over. My heart was pounding until the officer introduced himself as an alumnus of the University of Richmond. Whew! He had received a call that a representative from his alma mater was flying in to KL, but only knew my name, not my face.
