Hometown: Montgomery, Alabama
College Alma Mater: University of Richmond, major in Chemistry
On going from chemistry to admission: The analytical nature of chemistry is a particularly helpful background to have when working with the many statistics and numbers we utilize in admission. I began working in admission after working through the financial aid process with high school students as an undergraduate, and I realized that access to higher education was a really important way that we can change the future.
Favorite Richmond neighborhood: The Museum District. I love that people sit on their front porches, you can walk to Carytown, visit the art museum, and relax at my favorite place in Richmond...Maymont Park.
A memorable recruitment story: After a long trip (and before the first cup of coffee for the day), I asked the nice hotel clerk which time zone we were in there in Chattanooga. He gave me a strange look and said, "Well, Chattanooga is in the EST, but you do realize you're in Memphis, right?"
Hobbies/interests: Reading, social justice, traveling, ultimate frisbee, whitewater canoeing
