Education: B.S.B.A. in Marketing Management from Western Carolina University, M.Ed. in Education - Guidance and Counseling in Higher Education from Virginia State University

Professional background: I started in admission immediately after college when one of the assistant directors of admission at my alma mater referred me to a job in admission in North Carolina. I had gotten to know her while in college and she felt that my personality and enthusiasm matched the admission profession. I have now been in admission for a total of 30 years. Richmond was a natural attraction for me having worked in two public universities. I was ready for the challenge of working in another smaller liberal arts school, but one that provided many more resources for both students and staff.

Favorite thing to do in Richmond on the weekends: I love to stay at home on weekend to catch up on rest. When not doing that, Byrd Park is my favorite place to hang out, read, do the walking/jogging trail, and watch the ducks in the lakes. (Learn more about Byrd Park and other Richmond parks)

Favorite food on campus: Heilman Dining Center is my favorite food location. This is the place that I make sure I eat a balanced meal. Plus, the prices are very reasonable.
