Life at Richmond: Clubs and Greek Life

No matter what your interests, you'll be able to pursue them with passion at Richmond. You'll find your niche within our approximately 220 student clubs and organizations, our unique Greek system and very active athletic and intramural programs.

And you'll never run out of things to do at Richmond. Our Campus Activities Board makes sure of that through sponsorship of a wide variety of on-campus entertainment options ranging from concerts to movies to comedians.

Many students (35 percent of men and 50 percent of women) participate in our Greek system. The Greek system at Richmond is non-residential, which means that participants live in regular campus housing among other students while fulfilling their sorority's or fraternity's mission of scholarship, service and leadership. Fraternities have lodges where their meetings and socials are held. Sororities have meetings in University meeting rooms and socials both on and off campus. The recruitment process for membership in the Greek system is held in January so students have a full semester in which to adapt to college life before making a commitment to the Greek system.
