Life at Richmond: Multicultural Life
If you are a student of color at Richmond, rest assured your unique needs and interests will be addressed through our Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. Individualized advising and counseling, as well as Mentor Network Assistance, are only two of the many services available to multicultural students at the University. Additionally, events and programs of interest to the entire University community are scheduled frequently, including International Dinners, a series of Black History Month celebrations and a Caribbean Student Festival, to name only a few.
A voluntary pre-orientation program enables the smooth transition of students from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. The Multicultural Student Union also is active at the University, taking as its motto the acronym MOSAIC, which stands for Multicultural Opportunities Strengthen All In our Community.
And that’s not all. Several national Greek organizations have established chapters of historic black sororities such as Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta on our campus.
Difference and diversity are embraced and celebrated at Richmond.
