*** Students interested in teacher certification in Virginia must earn a degree in an approved major while completing a minor in education. Richmond's program leads to teacher licensure in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and 38 states.

Pre-Professional Preparation

While not prescribed majors, the University offers excellent preparation for advanced studies in these fields:

Pre-Engineering (joint programs with Columbia University, George Washington University, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth University)
