Sit in on a Class

There's no better way to understand the depth of the liberal arts experience at Richmond than to sit in on a class, and our Spiders in Session program allows high school seniors to do just that. During the fall semester, you can choose to visit up to three classes, where you'll sit side by side with current Richmond students and meet professors who are knowledgeable in the subjects that matter most to you.

We recommend that you first make plans to attend an information session and campus tour if you haven't already done so. Your visit is also a great opportunity to participate in an informational interview. Your class visits will be planned around these other events to allow you to take part in each one.

In order to visit a class, you must make an appointment at least eight days prior to your scheduled visit. Fall 2009 class visits will be available all weekdays from September 14 to November 13, with the following exceptions:

Date Event
9/18 Rosh Hashanah
9/28 Yom Kippur
10/5-10/9 Mid-term examination period
10/12-10/16 Week of fall break
11/9 Preview Richmond open house

To Schedule a Class Visit

Before you call, have the following info on hand:

  1. The date you intend to visit campus

Our staff are happy to recommend ways that accompanying family or friends might use their time while you are in class.
