Do you have a favorite spot on campus?

The Weinstein Center gymnasium. I was first introduced to the school when I attended team basketball camp in high school. I just remember having so much fun competing on that court and when I actually attended, I was able to win a couple of intramural basketball championships on the same court. My experience with the gym had come full circle.

If you could go back to college and major in a different subject, what would you pick? Why?

Rhetoric and Communication studies. I’ve always been intrigued with the profession of sports broadcasting and color commentating. Growing up I used to look up to guys like Stewart Scott and Gus Johnson. I appreciated how they left their imprint on generations with how their passion manifested in their words.

What is one piece of advice you’d give students for the college search/application process?

“Trust the Process.” At times this process can be a scary or stressful experience, but trust in yourself! Only you truly know what you’re looking for in a place that will become “home” for the next 3-5 years. Take that knowledge into every visit or interaction you have with schools and you won’t be wrong with any decision you make.
