Davis United World College Scholars
Welcome, prospective Davis United World College Scholars! We're excited you're considering the University of Richmond, and hope you'll apply to join a long legacy of proud UWC-Richmond Spiders
The first cohort of UWC students came to Richmond in 2008. Today, we're proud to have 37 current scholars on campus, a UWC graduate among our faculty, and over 80 successful UWC Spider alums around the world. Our students and graduates go into every field imaginable, always with an eye toward making a difference around issues related to social justice and global awareness. To hear our UWC Scholars reflect first-hand on their involvement at Richmond, we invite you to watch the following student experience video and consider the words of our University President:
"The Davis UWC Scholars Program vividly reflects our institutional mission to 'prepare students for lives of purpose, thoughtful inquiry, and responsible leadership in a diverse world.' Davis UWC Scholars enrich our campus community as they bring a breadth of international experience to the classrooms and campus life. With the knowledge and broad perspectives developed in the United World Colleges, they encourage their classmates to view the familiar with new powers of inquiry, and to welcome people, cultures and perspectives that differ from their own." -President Ronald A. Crutcher
We're excited to help you get to know Richmond, and look forward to assisting you throughout the application process. Please use this webpage to learn more about UWC at UR and to find answers to commonly asked questions related to our campus, our community, and our application.
