Favorite RVA restaurant? The Daily

Favorite music genre? Funk.

Biggest travel-related phobia? Oversleeping and missing my first high school visit of the day.

Who would play you in a movie? Jamie Lee Curtis.

If your life were a pop song, what would it be? "Happy" by Pharrell

What is one piece of advice you’d give students for the college search/application process?

When visiting college campuses, eat in the dining hall and attend a class. When applying, make sure your voice comes through in your essay. Write about something unique about yourself and entertain your reader.

Do you have any favorite restaurants or local cuisine within your travel region? What do you do with your scant free time when you’re on the road?

Pizza is a treat for me and I like to get pizza from a local dive when I travel. If I have the time, I like to go to local thrift stores. I always look for crafts or handmade items from the area.

Let’s talk about RVA. What do you like about living here? What are your favorite things to do in the city/region? What should visitors be sure to check out?

I have grown up in Virginia and I like that we have all 4 seasons. I find something to do during each one of the seasons:

Fall: I pick apples in the mountains (Carter Mountain).

Winter: I go snow tubing at the Wintergreen Resort.

Spring: I go see the apple blossoms in D.C.

Summer: I spend almost every weekend on the Chickahominy River either floating or fishing.
